Rev. Linda Fraser
As a pre-teen sailing our 10 foot Sunfish on a lake in Maine I spent time with and got to know the God whom I love most. Somehow I knew I was supposed to do something special for God. That call was clear and persistent. I entered the convent and for 9 years served in NH and other places such as Honduras and Columbia as a Sister of Mercy. In the mid 80’s I left the community, taught middle school and transitioned to a career in Manufacturing and Logistics in the booming high tech industry. Some twenty years ago I established a Management Consulting firm specializing in IT Project Management, Change Management and Process Excellence.
For 40 years, I have lived by the words of the Prophet Micah: ‘Only this do I seek; to act justly, to love tenderly and to walk humbly with my God.’ Whether working in Shipping and Receiving, or in an Executive Board Room I have always known that the God I came to know so well sailing on that lake in Maine has been with me all the way! He is my True North. I simply need to pay attention for He has a plan for me.
I will be ordained an Interfaith Minister in June 2018. One might say I stumbled upon Tree of Life, but we all know there are no accidents. There is a Plan! This is the next phase of my journey! My next assignment! I will transition from Management Consulting and am looking at possibilities in Campus Ministry and Hospice. Recently the Board of Directors at Tree of Life asked me to serve the Community as their President. Once again I have been given a daunting assignment, but I know and trust the One I love most and the Tree of Life Community. It is an exciting time of expansion for us at Tree of Life and I am honored to serve as their handmaid. Know we welcome all!
