Tree of Life Interfaith Seminary Program
The Tree of Life Interfaith Seminary Program is a journey of awakening, discovery, and service. It is designed for those who feel called to deepen their spiritual lives and to share their gifts in meaningful ways.
This path honors the individuality of each journey while offering structure, tools, and support to help bring that inner knowing into the world. It is both a deep inward exploration and a practical unfolding into service, grounded in presence, integrity, and lived experience.
For those called to ordination, the program prepares individuals to serve as interfaith reverends—holding space for others across traditions, life stages, and experiences. Ordination reflects a commitment to compassionate presence, inclusive service, and the ability to meet people where they are, honoring the many ways the sacred is expressed in the world.
Purpose
The Tree of Life Interfaith Seminary Program is designed to:

To invite each seminarian to deepen their direct connection with the Divine, honoring the truth that guidance exists both within and around us.

To nurish the understanding that every person carries a unique inner gift; something essential, meaningful, and needed in the world.

Offers a systematic methodology, including supportive tools and a treasure map, to support the journey to discover your inner treasure.

Seminarians are guided and supported as the bring forth and excavate their unique treasure from the deep caves of spiritual practice and stillness.

Provide individual support in maintaining a regular spiritual practice.

There is space for each individual to uncover their own way of being and to offer it in service to something larger than themselves.
For those called toward ordination

The program encourages a reimagining of ministry. One rooted not in affiliation, but in authenticity. The focus shifts from “Where do I belong?” to “What am I here to bring?”

Participants receive ongoing support in sustaining a personal spiritual practice and are encouraged to engage meaningfully with their communities in ways that feel aligned and real.

To support each participant in experiencing their innate connection to the Sacred—however they understand or name that Presence. While teachers and guides are valuable along the way, we honor that wisdom and divine connection live within each of us.

To provide a clear and thoughtful pathway—complete with practical tools and reflective guidance—to help participants uncover, explore, and embody their deepest truth.

For Those Seeking Ordination
For individuals called to spiritual leadership, the program invites a fresh understanding of ministry for our evolving world. Rather than asking, “Where do I belong?” we explore, “What is mine to offer? What is the shape of my soul’s calling?”
Participants may feel drawn toward an existing tradition, toward renewing a tradition from within, or toward creating new forms of spiritual expression. All paths are honored.
The program includes:

Training in the sacred responsibilities of spiritual leadership

A grounded, respectful study of the world’s wisdom traditions

Ongoing support in maintaining a steady personal spiritual practice

Engagement in meaningful community service

Bestow legal ordination by The Tree of Life Interfaith Temple, enabling graduates to officially engage in and enjoy all the rights and privileges of clergy and to serve in ceremonial and ministerial roles

Offer training in traditional ministerial duties.

Provide a context for the study of the world religions.
