The Call of the Mourning Dove:
How Sacred Sound Awakens Mystical Unity

REV. DR. STEPHANIE RUTT
This course invites you into the Sonic Trilogy of Love where we as Lovers engage the Love, the sacred sound embedding the ancient spiritual practices across faith traditions, to create the conditions for mystical unity with the Beloved. Together we will dive deep into my dissertation, The Call of the Mourning Dove: How Sacred Sound Awakens Mystical Unity, which I am delighted to say was awarded the Frederick Buechner prize for Excellence in Writing and is now under contract for publication by Wifp and Stock Publishers.
Each week we will engage sacred sound practices from across faith traditions and share reflections in response to suggested questions and experiential exercises from the course study guide. Rich and full, this sacred study will not leave you where you began. Come and learn to create the conditions for mystical unity for as Saint Augustine said, "If you have understood, it is not God."

About Rev. Dr. Stephanie Rutt
This new paradigm, The Sonic Trilogy of Love, represents the culmination of over twenty years of immersing myself in the spiritual practices from across faith traditions. Simply, again and again, I as the Lover engaging the Love, the sacred sound embedded in the ancient practices, found myself in moments when all distinctions between Lover, Love and Beloved had disappeared and I was left silent, humble, and grace-filled in mystical unity with God.
