Rev. Carol LaChance
As a young person I felt a call to serve others and respond to the pain in the world. My childhood in England gave me a deep connection with the soil, air and ocean, and I learned to love the earth and all her creatures, especially horses! In later life, I fulfilled my dream of owning a horse, Max. He became my great teacher on the spiritual journey.
The overarching call in my life is to “be a mother”. The deep loves in my life are God, my husband of nearly forty years, my daughters and my grandchildren. My spiritual path has always circled around this idea of “mother” and the path of mothering and grandmothering has been my core gift. For my career I became a teacher, which expanded this sense of “mother”, or guide, to more and more children. I was privileged to work with gifted and talented students for twenty years and to watch them blossom as they pursued their passion for learning. After retiring from teaching, I trained as a Birth Doula again expanding my “mothering” to women in labor and delivery. I offer them emotional, spiritual and physical support during the miraculous transition that transforms them into mothers. It is a miracle and a blessing to be present to such intense moments of pain and joy. In 2016 I began my journey in the Tree of Life Seminary Program. Nothing could have prepared me for the challenges and joys I would face as I excavated my inner treasure and surrendered my life to my Beloved God. The program took me on an inner journey of healing and growth and all that is left to say as an ordained Interfaith Minister is “yes” and ”thank you”. As part of the seminary course, I trained as a Spiritual Mentor and look forward to assisting those spiritual seekers who choose to travel deeper into the Love of God. Presently, I work as the Coordinator for the Seminary Program. I am delighted to be able to pass on to others the holy gifts I have received. Helping to birth the Divine is my passion. Please join us in our community as we expand our vision out into the world, as we strive to allow Love to have its way with us and bring that love to all. |
