Writing Personal Essay and Memoir as a Spiritual Practice
REV. CAMILLA SANDERSON & REV. CAROL LACHANCE Come sit in circle and enjoy writing as a spiritual practice. Utilizing the spiritual concept from The Bhagavad Gita of observing your humanity from your divinity, and with reference to Vivian Gornick's The Situation and the Story, come practice witness consciousness as you excavate stories from the situation of your life. By utilizing the Principles of Holding a Circle (which will be shared in our first class), a safe space will be created for both peer and teacher feedback. About Rev. Carol LaChance
Rev. Carol LaChance, M.Ed., taught gifted and talented students for twenty years. She is a certified Spiritual Mentor who has led retreats on mysticism, taught writers’ workshops for adults, and presently works as a birth Doula. In 1991 she published The Way of the Mother (Element Books), a non-fiction account of mothering as a spiritual journey. Carol is a member of the Society of Childrens’ Book Writers and Illustrators.
