Local friends

SHARE provides emergency and ongoing support to individuals and families in need in Milford, Amherst, Brookline and Mont Vernon, New Hampshire. Assistance is provided in the form of food, clothing, emergency financial assistance and linkages to other area resources. The SHARE Center is a place where individuals with all sorts of needs come for assistance, referral, and sometimes, just a friendly ear. This center of service includes the offices and food pantry of SHARE, Milford Town Welfare, Southern NH Services Fuel and energy assistance office, and the local location for SJCS Meals on Wheels. We at Tree of Life Interfaith Temple are distressed by the invasion of Ukraine by Russia. We are pleased to be able to offer this link to Stand for Ukraine, so that our community can support the people of Ukraine in a variety of ways.

Stand for Ukraine is an aggregator of reliable organizations that helps to fight the Russian invasion and overcome its consequences.
Their goals are: 
  • Help the Ukrainian military with weapons, ammunition, and supplies
  • Recover the veterans & victims of war
  • Shelter and feed the refugees
  • Aid children, elders, and other vulnerable groups
  • Support independent press

Bridges: Domestic & Sexual Violence Support is a nonprofit agency dedicated to helping victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Spanning Southern New Hampshire, we strive to make our communities a safe place to live and work. We create bridges to learning in local schools and workplaces, and bridges to healing with support groups and our confidential support line. We create bridges when we assist individuals in rebuilding their lives through our emergency shelter and community resources. You become a part of these bridges by supporting our agency and facilitating conversations with family, friends, colleagues, and peers about domestic and sexual violence.
Domestic and sexual violence affects everyone in our communities. Right now it may be happening to a family member, friend, coworker, neighbor, or parishioner. It does not discriminate based on your age, gender, race, or financial status. It may be happening to you.
Bridges: Domestic & Sexual Violence Support is a non-sectarian agency, and all services are offered regardless of race, gender, gender orientation, gender identity, gender expression, medical condition, HIV status, marital status, age, national origin, immigration status, religion, physical, mental or emotional ability, sexual orientation, political affiliation or language.
