How to offer a Worship Service

The Tree of Life Interfaith Temple offers weekly worship services on Sunday mornings from 10:00 to 11:00. If you are interested in offering a service, you are invited to follow the following four-step process below. Please note that the Sunday Services Program Committee is guided by the Tree of Life Interfaith Temple vision and mission statements and reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of any program.
OK Here we GO!

Step 1 ~ Check for available dates
Review the Community Calendar (located at the bottom of this page)
This Community Calendar is designed to show the public on which dates services are offered. If a date is blank, that means it is open and available. Choose 2 or 3 dates that are open and continue to step 2.

Step 2 ~ Request to offer a service
Send your proposed dates to our Presiding Minister at sundayservices @ tolit.org (without the spaces), along with your name, email address, and phone number. Please note that while every effort is made to keep the calendar up to date, your first or second choice may coincide with the request of another. You will be contacted at the email provided as to which of your dates has been approved.

Step 3 ~ What service will you be offering
Complete the Worship Service Proposal form (located at the bottom of this page)
Please send in your form 4-6 weeks prior to the date of your worship service. We ask this because our team needs time to coordinate, review, set up and promote your offering. We understand that inspiration can come at any time, but we would like the opportunity to promote your service well in advance of its offering.
This form is provided below as an online form you can fill out right on this page or a PDF you can download and send in.
Please note that a photo is requested, which needs to be sent separately. Please send it to Carrie at templenews@tolit.org .

Step 4 ~ Order of Service and Copyright Information
As noted at the end of the Worship Service Proposal form, you are encouraged to send two more items a few days before your service. Please send them to Karen at admin@tolit.org .
* Please create an Order of Service or Program for your worship service.
* Please review the document “Copyright Info for Worship,” linked just below this paragraph. You are welcome to use any copyrighted pieces in your worship service, and there are laws around what pieces we can use when we post services on YouTube. For ANY non-original pieces you use in your service, please write down the title, where you found it (book, online address, etc), and any copyright information you know about it. (There could be copyright information listed in a book, on a CD case, or under a YouTube video.) If you have permission from the copyright holder to use the piece, please also include that information.
